What an incredible journey through history for Year 6! As part of their IPC study on 900CE, they explored the wonders of Baghdad’s ‘House of Wisdom’ and the massive advancements of the Islamic Golden Age.  From the complexities of Algebra to the invention of the paper mill, students saw firsthand how these discoveries changed history. They even looked into early medical breakthroughs in optical physics and children’s diseases. To celebrate the end of the unit, they built models representing the 5 Pillars of Islam. It’s been a "Golden Age" of learning in our classroom!
