Weekly Update

We would like to draw your attention to the following information:

Clubs will begin next week, if you have not already signed up, please click on the link here.

We will begin our annual Jump Start Program tomorrow. From January to April, we invite all of our students and parents (if you have the time and energy) to join us in the gym for 10 minutes of aerobic activity. Research has shown that a short burst of physical activity in the cold winter mornings can really help children to warm up their brains and help them to concentrate better in their morning lessons. Come and join in the fun and bring your child straight to the gym when you arrive at 8.45am.

We are still looking for parent volunteers to help us continue with our Eco School journey. This years focus is on Waste and Biodiversity. If you have some time to help us out, please let us know and we will form new committees to look at how we can improve.

Part of our school mission is to develop our partnerships within the community. With this in mind we will be supporting the International Relay for Life this year.  Relay for Life raises money for vital cancer research and holds a relay event each year in May, where teams walk in a relay for 24 hours to signify that cancer never sleeps for those battling the disease. We will put together a team of staff, parents and students with the aim of having members from our team walking throughout the 24 hours. For more information about Relay for Life, follow the link here. If you would like to join our Team,  you can sign up here, search for Lions-ISF Midnight Strollers. Closer to the time we will send out a sign up sheet, where you can choose a time to walk that is convenient for you. Relay for Life takes place on 16th-17th May 2020. We look forward to having a strong team to support this great cause.
