Year 5 got hands-on with K’NEX in their Milepost lesson, building, testing, and exploring how levers really work! They discovered that a lever is a rigid bar that pivots around a fulcrum, that the fulcrum can be placed in different positions, and that force is simply a push or a pull — all while experimenting like true young engineers. Even better, this session wasn’t just about science; students also sharpened important life skills such as teamwork, cooperation, collaboration, problem-solving, and communicating ideas as they worked together to make their designs succeed. A fantastic mix of learning, creativity, and teamwork — simple machines in action!
