International Mother Tongue Day

In celebration of International Mother Tongue Day, children at ISF exchanged greetings in their native languages, translated their favourite facts about dolphins into their mother tongue, and put on their teacher hats to teach their peers a phrase from another language. They learnt how to say “Happy Birthday” in Japanese, Russian, and Chinese, “How are you today?” in Dutch, and “Hello” in Polish and Hungarian. Children created a personalised Cafe Menu which showcased some of the delicious dishes found in their home country and wrote these in their first language. Well done to all our super linguists!
